5 tracks to run faster
After giving birth I started running with a group from work, I liked but I couldn’t keep up. Last June I give it a new try. In first instance I decided to go running in an attempt to lose weight but soon it became a necessity to empty my mind and give me headspace. Of course it helps to shed the pounds too 😉 During my running it occurs to me that some tracks help me running faster and I want to share my top 5 with you. 1. Gasolina – Pitbull & Daddy Yankee 2. Country Girl (shake it for me) – Luke Bryan 3. Bailar – Deorro &…

WW diary 1: the start of my weight loss journey
Welcome to my weight loss journey! Let me introduce myself: I am a 30 something woman who thought to be too fat in her teens when she actually was not and eventually became overweight. I also became a very good yo-yo’er 😉 That’s me, in August 2014 on a super sunny day. When I look at it I can tell that this woman is not happy with her self but she smiles even though. I wasn’t even at my highest weight. I remember feeling ashamed of myself that day. I want to take this road/journey for the last time. I was always busy with my weight. As a young girl…

Weigh in Tuesday- week 3 2016
HI Frenchies, My apologies for my abscence last week, life happened. I also was a bit sick. I’m still looking how to deal with lifestyle changes and the changes in the Weight Watchers program. I also have a bit of trouble finding and keeping my motivation. Past week I did another cross fit session and it suits me. Now I have to keep it going. As a result of my lower commitment I only lost 300 gr. Even with this small loss I don’t feel comfortable in my own skin. I hope and pray to (re)find my spirit and getting what I aim for. I see a lot of inspirations…

Just like for many of you, the last month of the year seems to be a busiest one of the year!l My father came to visit us for Saint Nicholas and stayed for a few days. We were all pleased to see him as his last visit was in august. Nathan was delighted to play with his French grandpa. Last week, my sister-in-law and her husband, H and me went to Amsterdam to see the play Anne, based on Anne Frank’s diary. We had a very nice…

Weigh in Tuesday- week 47
Hi Frenchies, A week has passed, a bit of a sad week. As many of you know the world has become a little dark the past week. Although I’m not leaving in France anymore it still touches me a lot, not only for all the sadness for the french people but also for the world in general. I didn’t have a very good feeling about my weigh in today. My past week was not a perfect one. I ate more than I planned and I wasn’t as active as I planned either. I feel I have become better in the choices I made. I could have made even better…

Pin it, did it: banana bread
Hi Frenchies! It’s been a long time since I posted a “Pin it, did it” post 😉 I was very active this morning, after a half an hour work-out I decided to make some banana bread! Yummie! My favoriete recipe is one I’ve found on Pinterest (of course, whereelse?) It’s also the first recipe I’ve made with the US metrics system ( you know, cup instead of gram of ml) and I found it very easy to make. The recipe is not mine, I use hers. I have made some changes or I should beter say I add a few ingredients. My personal touch is some cinnamon and ginger. I…
